Tierra Lenca is a women's coffee group formed in 2015. Tierra means "land" in Spanish, and Lenca is for the indigenous people of this name from this part of Honduras. The group is led by CEO Aracely Martinez Gomez and is comprised of 18 producers' families in the villages of Tres Cruces, San Andres, La Mina, and Las Moras in Erandique, Lempira. As a women-led group of farmers, Tierra Lenca is particularly inspiring. Over the years, they have consistently demonstrated how quality can be improved by empowering women to actively participate in decision-making.
