Pablo is married to Nieves Olori, they have four children, Cesar, Rudy, Cristian  and Lisa. On the wall of their home hangs a giant check from when he and two neighbors won 19th place in the 2007 Bolivia Cup of Excellence competition. When asked why he enjoys producing coffee, Pablo's mischievous smile becomes serious, and he says that it is the only thing in San Ignacio that can sustain the well-being of himself and his family.

After his success in the Cup of Excellence, he gained an interest in cupping so that he can produce even better coffee. Coffee is a family affair for Pablo: he is proud that when not in school, his children truly enjoy helping him harvest. The older boys love the adventure of climbing trees to pick coffee cherries, while the younger two laugh, yell, and play as they watch from below.
